Session One - For Such A Time As This

Session one was a great start to the weekend. Our worship team, hailing from Kleefeld, MB, led us in worship as we focused in on the theme of the weekend - Not To Us.

Our speaker for the weekend, Rob, opened up the weekend with the story of Esther, and the courage it took to stand up to the king. He told us how we all have things in our lives that may be hard, but yet God calls us to do.

After some tasty cookies (courtesy of our EMC churches across Canada), Riley Armstrong brought some light hearted entertainment to us. His humorous songs, like the one about snooze buttons, brought the opening night to a delightful close.
